John O’Shea was born in Waterford, Ireland on Apr. 30, 1981. For great potentials in football and superb talents, he started playing football when he was young. After long-term learning and practices, he joined Manchester United at the age of 17. Before being a member of Manchester United first team formally, he was loaned to Bournemouth and Royal Antwerp, participating in about 400 competitions more than 10 years. During this period, he won some significant matches, such as the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Football League Cup, the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
In 2011, he transferred to Sunderland to fully display his talents, writing another splendid chapter for himself. For got injured in the first appearance in a friendly competition, he missed the rest of pre-season and the beginning of the next season. On Aug. 27, 2011, John O’Shea won his first goal with Sunderland in a match against Tottenham Hotspur. For outstanding performances and virtuous cooperation relationship with the Sunderland, the club decided to sign another one-year-long contract with him.
