Stephen Ward

Stephen Ward was born in Dublin, Ireland on Aug. 20, 1985. As an excellent professional left-back or winger in Ireland football kits, he could be put into many positions rather than the single position referred above. In the summer of 2003, Ward turned to be a member of Bohemians of Dublin-based League of Ireland. In 2003, he made the first appearance in a competition against Skerries Town as a substitute. During the period played for Bohemians, he accumulated 26 goals in 93 matches, making great contributions to the football club.

He started his senior playing career with Bohemians in Ireland prior to transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers of English Championship in 2007. For outstanding performances in six matches, he earned himself a promising future by three goals. After played for Wolverhampton Wanderers of English Championship, he was loaned to League One in 2013, providing great help for the team. In 2011, Stephen Ward was capped for the Ireland national football team in a match against Scotland, and in a match against Macedonia. John O’Shea was born in Waterford, Ireland on Apr. 30, 1981. For great potentials in football and superb talents, he started playing football when he was young. After long-term learning and practices, he joined Manchester United at the age of 17. Before being a member of Manchester United first team formally, he was loaned to Bournemouth and Royal Antwerp, participating in about 400 competitions more than 10 years. During this period, he won some significant matches, such as the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Football League Cup, the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.

In 2011, he transferred to Sunderland to fully display his talents, writing another splendid chapter for himself. For got injured in the first appearance in a friendly competition, he missed the rest of pre-season and the beginning of the next season. On Aug. 27, 2011, John O’Shea won his first goal with Sunderland in a match against Tottenham Hotspur. For outstanding performances and virtuous cooperation relationship with the Sunderland, the club decided to sign another one-year-long contract with him.
